All those who had gone away
parted ways
Those shutting their hearts enraged
seek pardon with their anger assuaged.
Remembrance of those dead and gone
reflects in life anon.
Even those distancing themselves, one by one
expressing aversion
come closer now
accompanied by love
The very thought of it proving ecstatic _
Oh what have I done to earn it….
Absolutely nothing
With all my sorrows in tact
I have got used to exist
without those lot.

பிரிந்து போனவர்கள் எல்லாம்
திரும்ப வருகிறார்கள்.
கோபமாய் மனந்திருப்பியவர்கள்
மன்னிப்பை விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
இறந்தவர்கள் நினைவு
வாழ்வில் தெரிகிறது.
பிடிக்கவில்லையென ஒதுங்கியவர் கூட
அன்பின் துணையோடு
நெருங்குகிறார்கள்.
நினைக்கவே சிலிர்ப்பாகும்படி
அப்படி என்ன செய்தேன்.
ஒன்றுமே இல்லை.
சகல துக்கங்களோடும்
அவர்கள் இல்லாமலே
வாழப் பழகியிருந்தேன்.

My father taught me the life of
the righteous ones.
Ever since I have grown
and He dead and gone
I have come across those
who are sincere; genuine.
But all too suddenly
These days
I meet but betrayers alone
Identify those faking affection.
Weighed under this revulsion
I turn worse than a worm
They call me one who knows not
how to live well.
But who at all understands life in full.
To my children
I classify treachery and betrayal
I teach them to meet those
Who cheat in the name of love.
The true souls of this planet
Don’t know how to hurt, I proclaim
That intense faith also
Will make you cry, I claim
In truth, only those
who know not how to 'make use' of life
can teach you
the Art of Living.
என் அப்பா எனக்கு
நேர்மையாளர்களின் வாழ்வையே
சொல்லித் தந்தார்.
நான் வளர்ந்த பின்னும்
அவர் இறந்த பின்னும்
உண்மையாய் இருப்பவர்களையே
பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்.
திடீரென்று
இப்போதெல்லாம்
ஏமாற்றுபவர்களாகவே சந்திக்கிறேன்.
பொய்யன்பாளர்களையே
இனங்காண்கிறேன்.
இந்த அருவருப்பின் கீழ்
நானொரு புழுவினும் தாழ்ந்தவளாகிறேன்.
என்னை வாழத் தெரியாதவள்
என்கிறார்கள்.
யாருக்குத் தான் வாழ்வை புரிந்திருக்கிறது.
என் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நான்
துரோகங்களை அடையாளங்காட்டுகிறேன்.
அன்பின் பெயரால் ஏமாற்றுபவர்களை
சந்திக்கக் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கிறேன்.
இவ்வுலகின் உண்மை ஆன்மாக்கள்
துன்புறுத்த தெரியாதவை என்கிறேன்.
தீவிர நம்பிக்கையும் அழ வைக்குமென்கிறேன்.
உண்மையில் வாழத் தெரியாமல் போனவர்களால் தான்...
வாழ்வைப் புரிய கற்றுக்கொடுக்க முடியும்.
