POEM PUTREFIED

When a leaf shrinks and droops

When a ‘kolam’ is smeared and wiped off

When a wound is prodded

When a strand of hair falls off the head

As roaring thunder Poem bursts out.

Hauling the evolutions of memory

Carrying the angst of uprightness

Piercing through the ruins

Making possible the opportunities

It occupies the great grand space.

After documenting raging furies just and fair

it smiles in pride

in front of the mirror.

With all those glittering ornamental drapes

Under which it buried itself so deep

rotting and ceasing to be

stands stooping

bereft of basic courtesy

being far away from human virtues

the head bloated with I

அசிங்கம் பிடித்த கவிதை

ஓரிலை கசங்கும் போது

ஒரு கோலம் கலைக்கப்படும் போது

ஒரு காயம் சுரண்டப்படும் போது

மண்டையிலிருந்து ஒரு முடி உதிரும் போது

இடிமுழக்கமாய் வெடித்துச்சிதறுகிறது கவிதை

ஓர்மத்தின் பரிணாமங்களை அள்ளிக் கொண்டு

தர்மத்தின் தவிப்புகளை சுமந்து கொண்டு

இடிபாடுகளை ஊடறுத்து

சந்தர்ப்பங்களை சாத்தியமாக்கி

பெருவெளியை ஆட்கொள்கிறது

அறச்சீற்றங்களைப் பதிவுசெய்த பின்னர்

நிலைக்கண்ணாடிமுன்

கர்வமாய்ப் புன்னகைக்கிறது

அங்கு

புதைந்துகொண்ட அலங்காரப் போர்வைகள்

சிதைந்தழிய நிர்வாணமாய் தொங்கி நிற்கிறது

அடிப்படை நாகரீகம் அறியாத

மானிடப் பண்புகளுக்குத் தூரமான

நான் தலைக்கேறிய
