THE FALL

If fallen from the 18th floor of the building

there won’t be a bone left

for cremation

Even the wind would knock at the window and open it

hesitantly.

First and foremost

from there

I threw away a Siddha Medicine book

Then

I threw away

the textbooks of

Aeronautical Engineering.

Then

the bundle of marriage invitations

temple festival advertisement paper

invitation to attend the last rites of the dead

Really

it was I who got frightened and fallen.

It is that which I thus keep

peeping and glimpsing

every now and then.

வீழ்ச்சி

அந்த கட்டடத்தின்

18 வது மாடியில் இருந்து

தவறிவிட்டால்

கருமாதிக்குக்கூட

எலும்பு மிஞ்சாது.

காற்றுகூட கொஞ்சம் தயங்கியே

ஜன்னல் திறக்கும் / தட்டும்.

முதலில்

அங்கிருந்து

ஒரு சித்தமருத்துவ புத்தகத்தை

விட்டெறிந்தேன்.

பிறகு

ஏரோநாட்டிக்கல் இன்ஜினீயரிங்

பாடப் புத்தகத்தைப் பறக்கவிட்டேன்.

அப்புறம்

மீந்த திருமணப் பத்திரிகைக் கட்டு

ஆலயத் திருவிழா விளம்பரக் காகிதம்

ஈமக் கிரியை அழைப்பிதழ்.

உண்மையாக

நான்தான் பயந்து விழுந்துவிட்டேன்.

அதைத்தான்

இப்படி

எட்டி எட்டிப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.
