1.SORROW-SHEDDING GRAINS

Squirrels run and play on the tree-branches

Sparrows keep flying happily

Laughing all the way

He who can’t walk feels a little joyous

The wild horse graze in the forest

The pond draws it with the watery-brush

Snow-covered mounts and pine trees

Wonder

Flowers come floating in the river

Music bubbles upon the surface of water

In glow yellow it showers love

The slave’s mouth is locked

The servant’s brain is chained

Language struggles

On the ridges ‘Karisaalai’ and ‘Nerunji’

Bloomed

Koravai and Kezhuru swam inside the paddy crop

And strolled along

Cranes and herons have a gala time

Once upon a time

The night-drunkard

Swears at the day-drunkard

the day-drunkard

swears at the night-drunkard

and the world swears at

one and all of them

அணில்கள் மரக்கிளைகளில் ஓடிப்பிடித்து விளையாடுகின்றன

சிட்டுக்குருவிகள்

பறந்து பறந்து சிரிக்கின்றன

நடக்க இயலாத அவன் சிறிது சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் கொள்கிறான்

வனத்துள் காட்டுக்குதிரை மேய்கிறது

குளம் நீர்த்தூரிகையால்

அதனை வரைகிறது

பனிசூடிய மலையும் ஊசியிலைமரங்களும் வியக்கின்றன

நதியில் மிதந்து வருகின்றன பூக்கள்

நீர்ப் பரப்பில் இசை குமிழியிடுகிறது

மஞ்சள் ஒளியில் காதல் பொழிகிறது

அடிமை வாய்க்குப் பூட்டு

எடுபிடி மூளையை

கட்டியிருக்கிறது சங்கிலி

மொழி திண்டாடுகிறது

வரப்புகளில் கரிசாலையும் நெருஞ்சியும் பூத்திருந்தன

கொறவையும் கெழுறும் நெல் பயிருக்குள் நீந்தித் திரிந்தன

கொக்குகளும் மடையான்களும் கூத்தடித்தன

ஒரு காலம்

இரவு குடிகாரன்

பகல் குடிகாரனை திட்டுகிறான்

பகல் குடிகாரன்

இரவுகுடிகாரனை ஏசுகிறான்

எல்லா குடிகாரன்களையும்

உலகம் வைகிறது.
