The attentiveness on the key while opening

and upon opening

on the usual place of keeping the key

eluding

on throwing it into the hitherto unused niche

in the speed of the swirling fan

the moisture of the mess slowly drying

though the glow of the tube-light

in the front room

slightly dispersing the dark quietude

of the other ones

eager to enjoy the bliss of composure

prevailing everywhere

when I stepped inside

the void-filled whiteness of the mercury-light

moving away

the shape of the key leaving me

now the sound of the unlocked door

being opened is heard.

The count of keys in the hands

of one and all

to unlock _

the doors wide-open, in stock,

exceed, after all.

திறக்கும்போது சாவியின் மீதிருந்த கவனம்

திறந்ததும் வழக்கமாக வைக்கும் இடத்தின் மீதான கவனம் வழுவிவிட

இதுவரை பயன்படுத்தாத மாடத்தின் மூலையில் வீசியதும்

மின்விசிறியின் ஓட்டவேகத்தில் கலைப்பின் ஈரம்

மெல்ல உலர

முன் அறையிலுள்ள குழ்ல்விளக்கின் துலக்கம்

மற்ற அறைகளின் இருளமைதியை லேசாக கலைத்தாலும்

படர்ந்திருக்கும் பதட்டமின்மையின் சுகத்தைத் துய்க்க

உள்ளே நுழைந்ததும்

குழல்விளக்கின் வெறுமை பூத்திருக்கும் வெண்மை விலகிச் செல்ல

சாவியின் வடிவம் என்னைவிட்டுவிட

இப்போது பூட்டாத கதவைத் திறக்கும் சத்தம் கேட்கிறது

திறக்க எல்லோரிடமுள்ள சாவிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையைக் காட்டிலும்

விசாலமாய் விரிந்துள்ள கதவுகளின் எண்ணிக்கை

மிகையானதே.
