NESAMITRAN
They who give gifts after tearing off the price-tag
They who even at the height of anger
utter not a word abusing one’s
character and conduct
They who availing permission
go donate blood every month without fail.
Those who seek forgiveness innocuously
to make a fight cease to be.
They who wander in search of button
for the fallen eye of the gifted teddy bear
and have it stitched
They who heartily laugh
even before the sob subsides
Who even after the selling of wagon
preserve the key-chain
Who even before peace-making process begins
get reconciled
They who yield at once
Not knowing pretence
The love of These Lot
knows not Defeat.

விலைச்சீட்டை கிழித்துவிட்டு
பரிசளிப்பவர்கள்
எவ்வளவு ஆத்திரத்திலும்
ஒழுக்கத்தை இழித்து பழி சொல்லாதவர்கள்
மாதம் தவறாமல் பர்மிஷன் போட்டு
இரத்த தானம் செய்பவர்கள்
வெகுளித்தனமாய் சண்டையை
முடிக்க மன்னிப்பு கேட்டு விடுகிறவர்கள்
பரிசளிக்கப்பட்ட கரடி பொம்மையின்
உதிர்ந்துவிட்ட கண்ணுக்கு
பித்தான் தேடி அலைந்து தைப்பவர்கள்
விசும்பல் நிற்கும் முன்பே
சிரித்து விடுகிறவர்கள்
வண்டியை விற்றபின்னும் கீசெயினை
பத்திரமாய் வைத்திருப்பவர்கள்
சமாதானப்படுத்தும் முன்பே
சமாதானம் ஆகிவிடுகிறவர்கள்
பாசாங்கு செய்யத்தெரியாமல்
பணிந்து விடுகிறவர்கள்
காதலுக்கு
தோற்கவும் தெரியாது
