The sun that you view through the window is not small

In your minuscule world

Everything is tiniest of the tiniest

Your mind your heart

Your body all too small

But you consider yourself so big; so tall

You imagine yourself to be the ruler of the world

who makes it revolve with your commands.

In the all too massive Nature

The land where you live cover

just a few square feet

Being in that you create uproar

like the Sea

You pretend to be as strong as the wind

You claim to burn like Fire

You feel yourself so immense, so infinite

as the sky

But through your window

everything would appear small

Walk through the vast space, please do

Then you will know, my friend, that you are

inconsequential to the core.

நீ சன்னலின் வழியே காணும் சூரியன் சிறியதல்ல

நீ வாழும் பூமியைவிட பெரியது

மிகச் சின்னதான உன் உலகில்

எல்லாமும் மிகச் சின்னதிலும் சின்னது

உன் மனம் உன்னிதயம்

உன்னுடல் யாவும் மிகச் சிறியது

நீயோ உன்னைப் பெரியவனாக

நினைத்துக்கொள்கிறாய்

உன் கட்டளைகளால் பூமியை ஆள்வதாய் கற்பனை செய்கிறாய்

மிகப் பிரம்மாண்டமான இயற்கையில்

நீ வாழும் நிலத்தின் அளவு சில சதுரடிகள்

அதனுள்ளிருந்து ஒரு கடலைப் போல் ஆர்ப்பரிக்கிறாய்

காற்றைப் போல் வலிமைமிக்கவனாய் நடிக்கிறாய்

நெருப்பைப் போல் எரித்துவிடுவதாக சொல்கிறாய்

ஆகாயத்தைப் போல் பரந்து விரிந்தவனாக உணர்கிறாய்

ஆனால் உன் சன்னல் வழியே

எல்லாம் சிறியதாகத் தோன்றும்

நீ மாபெரும் வெளியினூடே நட

நீ ஒரு பதர் எனப் புரியும் நண்பனே..
