1. STARVING DONKEY SWALLOWING

THE SCRIPT SHEETS

The crow static on the electric wire of metro train

not flying

pecks at the twine-knot of the kite entangled

In the ensuing inquiry on infringement

in abject ignorance of the ten thousand voltage

the madcap of the Metro

indulges in a mindless discourse

The ceiling studies the expression pretentious

of shivering all over the spine

where the moisture of wall permeates

In the handle of the door being opened and closed

day in day out

fingerprints galore

In the stretched out drawer of the desk

the cat within

keeps licking the makeup

used for masks

The character that the donkey

that had eaten the script sheets

to appease its hunger

is waiting to strike with its rear leg

has got into the train and left.

The viewer applauds the ‘put-on’ gait

of persona well-rehearsed

The moisture of script written as shivering all over

by reason of the last page of the play

hanging from the nail driven into the wall

beside the stairs of the back entrance of the stage

kisses the thousand-and-one nights

in the remaining seven lifelines.

The donkey with its ears straightening

in the wagging tail of the cat within

holding the madcap alights from the train

free from the fear of ten thousand voltage.

ஸ்க்ரிப்ட் காகிதங்களை பசியில் தின்றுவிட்ட கழுதை -

பறக்கும் ரயிலின் மின்சாரக் கம்பியில் பறக்காமல் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும் காகம்

சிக்கிக்கொண்ட காற்றாடியின் நூல் முடிச்சைக் கொத்துகிறது

பத்தாயிரம் வோல்ட்டேஜ் குறித்த அறிவில்லாமல்

மீறுதல் குறித்து நடக்கும் விசாரணையில்

வியாக்கியானம் செய்கிறது நகரத்து பைத்தியம்

சுவர் ஈரம் பரவுகிற முதுகு வரை நடுங்குவதாக பொய் பேசும்

முக பாவனையை வாசிக்கிறது கூரை

தினமும் திறந்து மூடும் கதவின் கைப்பிடியிலோ

ஆயிரத்தெட்டு ரேகைகள்

முகமூடிகளுக்கு போட்டுக்கொள்ளும் ஒப்பனையை

திறந்திருக்கும் மேஜை இழுவரையில் நக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது

மனப்பூனை

வசனம் எழுதப்பட்ட ஸ்க்ரிப்ட் காகிதங்களை பசியில் தின்றுவிட்ட கழுதை

தன் பின்னங்கால் கொண்டு எத்திவிட காத்திருக்கும் கதாபாத்திரம்

ரயிலேறி போய்விட்டது

வேடமேற்று பழகும் நடையை மெச்சுகிறான் பார்வையாளன்

நாடகத்தின் கடைசிப்பக்கம் மேடையின் புறவாசல் படியருகே

சுவற்றில் அறையப்பட்ட ஆணியில்

தொங்குவதையொட்டி

முதுகு வரை நடுங்குவதாக எழுதப்பட்ட ஸ்க்ரிப்டின் ஈரம்

ஆயிரத்தொரு இரவுகளை

மிச்சமிருக்கும் ஏழு ரேகைகளில் முத்தமிடுகிறது

மனப்பூனையின் வாலசைவில் காது விடைத்த கழுதை

பைத்தியத்தை சுமந்தபடி ரயிலிலிருந்து

இறங்குகிறது

பத்தாயிரம் வோல்ட்டேஜ் பயமற்று

கவிதைக்காரன் இளங்கோ

2. SEVER THE SLICE OF SHADOW YOU HAVE

Renouncing a tenacity

is something impossible.

Fixing the price of a silence very difficult indeed

Betting on a sorrow is but the essence of contest

Turning you from Being into Non-Being is suicide

Refusing to accept the call aiming at negotiation

The lone stratagem’s leafy-squirm

turning into the shade of the innermost part

and the moments sprouting in the poisonous plant _

I am endowed with the concern

of inhaling its fragrance

Cut off the slice of shade in your possession

for bargaining the sorrow of silences

being sold along the sunny pathways

of our market-place

and plant it.

Be it a bet or drive resolute

Forsaking is not possible

Of suicide let’s discuss another time

Let two or more come for help

Send someone to bring down from the loft

Dialogues inept of the bygone days

That is the extra requirement of Now

Turning your being into non-being is sheer folly

Do concentrate on the deal.

ஒரு பிடிவாதத்தைக் கைவிடுவது என்பது முடியாத காரியம்

ஒரு மௌனத்தை விலை பேசுவதென்பது கடினமான காரியம்

ஒரு துயரத்தை பணயம் வைப்பது என்பது பந்தயம்

நீயாகிய இருப்பை இல்லாமல் செய்வது என்பது தற்கொலை

பேச்சுவார்த்தை நோக்கி விடுக்கும் அழைப்பை மறுதலித்து

ஒற்றை சூட்சுமத்தின் இலைத்துடிப்பு

அந்தரங்கத்தின் நிழல் பகுதியாகி முளைக்கும் விஷச் செடியில் பூக்கும்

கணங்களின் நறுமணத்தை சுவாசிக்கும் கரிசனம்

எனக்கு வாய்த்திருக்கிறது

வெயிலடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நம் சந்தையின் நடைபாதையில்

விலைபோகும் மௌனங்களின் துயரத்தை பேரம் பேச

உன் வசமிருக்கும் நிழல் துண்டை வெட்டி நடு

பணயமோ பிடிவாதமோ

கைவிடுதல் என்பது முடியாத காரியம்

தற்கொலைப் பற்றி இன்னொரு சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் பேசிக்கொள்வோம்

துணைக்கு இரண்டொரு ஆட்கள் சேரட்டும்

உபயோகமற்றுப் போன பழைய உரையாடல்களை

பரணிலிருந்து இறக்கி வைக்க யாரையாவது அனுப்பிவை

அது இப்போதைய உபரித் தேவை

நீயாகிய இருப்பை இல்லாமல் செய்வதென்பது முட்டாள்த்தனம்
