Words one and all

descended as godsend

Each word began to metamorphose

into a date tree

and a river that cured the cuffed-legs

It was in the heavenly words uttered

Maria’s sacred labour pain

and the humiliations till the

child’s utterance

Those who remain with their faith intact

In darkness

and deathly gloom

The words instilled strength

as victories

and veritable illuminations.

Though born of a new born

the words gave strength

Those who don’t stumble in words

speak as children sanctified.

எல்லா வார்த்தைகளும்

தெய்வாதீனமாக இறங்கின

ஒரு பேரீட்சை மரமாகவும்

கால் கட்டுக்களை சுகப்படுத்திய நதியாகவும்

ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையும் மாறத்தொடங்கிற்று

கூறப்பட்ட நற்செய்திகளில்தான் இருந்தன

மரியாவின் புனிதம் மிக்க பிரசவ வலியும்

குழந்தை பேசுமட்டுமான அவமானங்களும்

அந்தகாரத்திலும்

மரண இருளிலும்

நம்பிக்கையோடிருப்பவருக்கு

வெற்றியாகவும்

வெளிச்சமாகவும்

வார்த்தைகள்தான் தெம்பூட்டின

குழந்தையொன்றின் உதடுகளால் வெளிப்பட்டபோதும்

வார்த்தைகள் தெம்பூட்டின

வார்த்தைகளில் இடறலடையாதவர்கள்

பாக்கியம் பெற்ற குழந்தைகளாக பேசுகிறார்கள்
