‘Has anyone peeled off light?

I have’, said Pournika

So tasty the leftover stalk she added.

Her lies are childish

‘Because I couldn’t bear the sight of air

caught stuck in the labyrinths of thread

in my attires

I disrobed myself;

Not for thee’

Said she

Ha, her lies have come of age, I thought.

At that instant her lies began to burst within me as

crackers

Since then all that I have relished in her were

Light’s shoots in truth.

கார்த்திக் திலகன்

வெளிச்சத்தை யாரேனும் உரித்துப் பார்த்ததுண்டா

நான் உரித்துப் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன் என்றாள் பௌர்ணிகா

கடைசியில் எஞ்சிய குருத்து

எவ்வளவு ருசி தெரியுமா

என்று வேறு சொன்னாள்

அவளது பொய்கள் குழந்தைத்தனமானவை

என் ஆடையின்

நூல் கண்ணிகளில் சிக்கிக்கொண்ட காற்று துடிதுடிப்பது பொறுக்காமல்தான் உடைகளை களைந்தேன்

உனக்காக அல்ல என்றாள்

அடடா அவளது பொய்கள் பருவமெய்தி விட்டனவே

என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டேன்

அப்போது அவளது பொய்கள் ஓலைப்பட்டாசுகளாக என்னுள் வெடிக்கத் தொடங்கின

அதன் பிறகு நான் அவளிடம் சுவைத்தவைகள் எல்லாம் உண்மையில் வெளிச்சத்தின் குருத்துகள்தான்.

The metallic bird flying at the roof

makes noise.

On pressing the switch

the bird lowered its voice.

I open the quiet gifted by it

There as specs of light

Your memories

Taking them so lovingly

I fix them in all the oxygen rings

in the room air

and makes them shine

With the songs of the firefly birds

building nests in my lungs

my breathing turns fine; divine.

கூரையில் பறக்கும்

உலோகப் பறவை ஒலி எழுப்புகிறது

விசையை அழுத்தியதும்

தன் குரலை தாழ்த்திக் கொண்டது பறவை

அது பரிசளித்த அந்த நிசப்தத்தை திறந்து பார்க்கிறேன்

அதில் வெளிச்சப் புள்ளிகளாய்

உன் நினைவுகள்

ஆசையாய் அவைகளை எடுத்து

அறைக்காற்றின் ஆக்சிஜன் வளையங்களில் எல்லாம் பொறுத்தி மின்னவிடுகிறேன்

என் நுரையீரலில் கூடுகட்டும் மின்மினி பறவைகளின் பாடல்களால்

இனிமை யாகிறது என் சுவாசம்
