We have grown into two different branches

of a tree.

In those times when we were counting the stars

with our fingers

Sky proved insufficient for us

In the radiant sea of

this full-moon day

many of the waves that dashed against

as reminiscences

of our times

Going away from each other

Retreating

For bearing testimony to Hope precise

One Tree

One Sea

don’t suffice, I surmise.

ஒரு மரத்தின் இருவேறு கிளைகளாக வளர்ந்துவிட்டோம் நாம்.

வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களை விரல்பிரித்து எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்த காலத்தில்

வானம் நமக்கு போதவில்லை.

இன்றைய பெளர்ணமியின்

ஒளிமிகுந்த கடலில்

மோதிக்கொண்ட அலைகள் பலவும்

நம் காலத்தின்

நினைவுகளாக ஒன்றையொன்று

விலகியபடியே

திரும்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது

நம்பிக்கையின்

ஒரு சாட்சியாக

போதுமென தோன்றவில்லை.

The snake of my garden is as long as my height

It creeps crawling far away from my reach

When its massive frame filled with yellow and mossy green

leaving the dust of the land

twirl in the middle of the trunk road

some wagon does come to a halt

and then start

Memory of fear starting from snake

to tusker

keeps stretching thus.

என் தோட்டத்துபாம்பு என் உயரத்திற்கு நீளமானது

நான் அதை தீண்டாத தூரத்தில்தான் அது எப்போதும் ஊர்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறது

மஞ்சளும் கரும்பாசியுமான

அதன் பெருத்தவுடல் நிலத்தின் புழுதியிலிருந்து வெளியேறி

தார்சாலையின் நடுவே புரளும்போது

ஏதாவது ஒரு வாகனம்

நின்றுதான் புறப்படுகிறது

அச்சத்தின் நினைவு பாம்பிலிருந்து

தொடங்கி யானைவரை

இப்படியாகத்தான்

நீண்டுகொண்டிருக்கிறது.
