LINGERING LETTER

He who explains

the love poems penned by him

to the very She

Ho- can there be more unfortunate person

than He.

That she remained till the end

as if she didn’t comprehend

is the enduring pain till date

Today or

Tomorrow

Those memories might burn

and turn to ashes

But

the smoke gathering in the sky

trying to convey something _

Can anybody in this city

know of it

அவளிடமே

தான் எழுதிய

காதல் கவிதைகளை

விளக்கக் கூடியவன்

எவ்வளவு துரதிஷ்டசாலி?

அவள்

புரியாததுபோலவே

கடைசிவரை இருந்ததுதான்

இன்றுவரை

வாட்டும் வதை

இன்றோ

நாளையோ

அந்த நினைவுகள்

எரிந்து போகலாம்

ஆனால்

கூடும் புகை

வானத்தில்

எதையோ

சொல்ல முனைவதை

இந்த நகரில்

யாரேனும்

அறியக் கூடுமோ?
