The kinship of a bird with a language unknown
knocked at the doors of heart
The heart that sails in the ferry of time
feeling utterly spent out
opened its door.
The bird that ran helter-skelter
seeking shelter
standing at my heart’s threshold,
Its language began
creating poetry in me.
That which the bird saw
It wrote in the poetry
Completing the poem the bird observed
the way the heart unable to bear the burden of the poem
growing turbulent and jittery.
And in the manner of holding the heart so fondly it said
Bird’s language is inventive
Bird’s poetry is powerful
The bird sitting in the heart with
poetry entrenched deep
waited till the world
plunged into sleep.
இருதயத்தில் அமர்ந்த பறவை.
புதியதொரு மொழி் பேசும் பறவையின்
உறவொன்று இருதயத்தின் கதவினை தட்டியது,
பெரு மனதொய்வுடன் கால ஓடத்தில் பயணிக்கும் இருதயம்
தன் வாயிலை திறந்து விட்டது.
அங்குமிங்கும் அடைக்கலம் தேடிய பறவை
இருதயத்தின் வாசலில் நின்று
அதன் மொழி
என்னுள் கவிதை படைக்க ஆரம்பித்தது.
கவிதையில்
பறவை கண்டவற்றை எழுதியது.
கவிதையினை முழுமையாக்கிய பறவை..
இருதயம் கவிதையின் சுமை தாங்க முடியாமல் பதறுவதை அவதானித்தது
இருதயத்தை அள்ளிக்கொள்வதாய்
கூறியது.
பறவையின் மொழி புதுமையானது
பறவையின் கவிதை வலிமையானது.
கவிதை புதைந்த இருதயத்தில்
அமர்ந்த பறவை
உலகம் உறங்கும் வரை காத்திருந்தது.
