MODEL
In that a round table
She stands
Stark naked
From atop
A leaning pole of light
alights on her.
Her limbs stand firm
swelling, wholesome.
Attires leaving her
are covering a chair there.
The eyes of apprentice-artists
sitting in a circle
and assessing her figure
separate her body from her
and making them
parts of their Art.
So long as the fingers stretch – the lines
With passionate screeching
Swallows her limbs
One by one.
The body’s
Ups and downs
Mounds and slopes.
Melting – swirling
Sliding –Swelling
solidity and subtlety
Edges – buds
Fold and mystery
Stirring the artist endlessly
Test his skill and mastery.
There, striving to contain in a paper square
the proud human form standing there
right in front of them
converting it into an art-piece
and exhibit
the passion unleashed of human breath
the reverberation of human hearts in unison
For the artist who sketches
with dreamy fingers
the marvel called woman
Time and surroundings
have no meaning.
In the folded stomach
of the figure there
being submissive to the core
The air that roar
in the empty stomach
and the thin line of tears
at the corner of her eyes
dried
never find a place
in the art-piece.
They somehow escape....
On completion
She flutters in the sheet of paper
as new-born parrot
scattering dreams galore
to all the viewers.
மாடல்
எஸ்.வைதீஸ்வரன்.
சதுரமான ஹால்
அதில் வட்டமான மேசை ஒன்று
அவள்
அப்பட்டமாக நிற்கிறாள்
உச்சியிலிருந்து சாய்ந்த ஒளிக் கோலொன்று
அவள் உருவத்தில் பாய்கிறது
அங்கங்களில் அழுத்தமான பூரிப்பு
ஆடைகள் அவளை துறந்து
ஒரு நாற்காலியை
மறைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன
வட்டமாய் அமர்ந்து
அவள் வடிவம் கணிக்கும்
பயிற்சிக் கலைஞர்களின் பார்வை
உடம்பை அவளிடமிருந்து பிரித்து
ஓவியத்தின் உறுப்புகளாக்குகின்றன.
விரல்கள் இழுக்கும் வரை கோடுகள்
ஆவேசமான கிரீச்சல்களுடன்
அங்க அங்கமாக அவளை விழுங்குகின்றன
மேனியின்
மேடும் – சரிவும்
குழைவும் – நெளிவும்
வழுக்கலும் - தாங்கலும்
பாரமும் - நளினமும்
முனைகளும் மொட்டும்
மடிப்பும் – மர்மமும்
ஓவியனை ஓயாமல் சீண்டி
அவன் திறனை
ஆழம் பார்க்கின்றன.
கண்ணெதிர் நின்ற உருவத்திமிரை
காகிதக் கட்டத்துக்குள் அடக்கி
கலை வடிவாக்கி நிறுத்த அங்கே
மனித மூச்சின் மொத்தமான ஆவேசம்
மனங்களின் ஒருமித்த ரீங்க ஆங்காரம்
பெண் என்ற அற்புதத்தை
கனவு விரல்களால் பூசும் கலைஞனுக்கு
காலமும் சூழலும் அர்த்தமற்றது
கீழ்ப்படிந்த உருவத்தின்
மடிந்த வயிற்றுக்குள் இரையும்
காலிக் குடல் காற்றும்
விழிக்கிடையில் சுவடான நீர்க்கோடும்
ஓவியத்துக்குள் வருவதில்லை.... எப்படியோ
தப்பிவிடுகின்றன
முடிந்த போது
காகிதங்களில் அவள்
பிறந்த கிளி போல் படபடக்கிறாள்
கனவுகளைப் பார்ப்போருக்கு
வாரியிறைத்துக்கொண்டு
2.RWANDA
Unsure hour
With Dark and Light
together.
In the dead-end corner
Where roads curling like
poisonous snake
and thinning down into lanes -
a man is seen.
In his hands
a rope twisted and held
tightly
being dragged with force is seen.
A wall in between prevents
the other end of the rope
coming into view.
Which animal’s neck would be
there?
Cow, Donkey, Dog?
Those born to be dragged along....
He is still pulling the rope.
And the wall stretches on ....
His face alone
’with no rhyme or reason
turns more and more horrid.
At the other end of the knot
there might be human neck
So a dread horrid
Spreads within
Hour unsure.....

வைதீஸ்வரன் கவிதை
ரவாண்டா
இருட்டும் வெளிச்சமும்
கலந்த
இரண்டுங் கெட்ட வேளை
வீடுகள் விஷநாகமாய் வளைந்து
சந்துகளாய் மெலிந்த குருட்டு மூலையில்
ஒரு மனிதன் தெரிந்தான்.
அவன் கைகளில் இறுக்கி
பலமுடன் இழுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்த கயிறு தெரிகிறது.
இடைப்பட்ட மதில் ஒன்றால்
இழுபடும் கயிற்றின் மறுமுனை
இன்னும்
தெரிய வரவில்லை.
கயிற்றின் மறுமுனையில்
எந்த மிருகக்கழுத்து இருக்கும்?
மாடு, கழுதை, நாய்...
இழுபட பிறந்தவைகள்....
கயிற்றை அவன் இன்னும்
இழுத்து முடியவில்லை
மதில் இன்னும் விடுபடவில்லை.
அவன் முகம் மட்டும்
காரணமின்றி
அசிங்கமாகிவருகிறது.
முடியின் முடிவில் இருப்பது
மனிதக் கழுத்தாய் இருக்கலாம் என்ற
பீதி
எனக்குள் பரவுகிறது.
இரண்டுங் கெட்ட வேளை....
ருவாண்டா குடியரசு ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் நடுப் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள ஒரு நாடாகும். ருவாண்டா இனப்படு கொலை என்பது 1994 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ருவாண்டாவில் நடைபெற்ற ஒரு இனப்படுகொலை யாகும். இதில் ஹுட்டு இன மக்கள், துட்ஸி இன மக்கள் மற்றும் மிதமான ஹுட்டு இன மக்களை கொடூரமாக படு கொலை செய்தனர். இந்த இனப்படுகொலையில் சுமார் 800,000 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.
3. POETRY
with the dream-net widespread
lying in wait to catch Poetry
A spider on the roof
spreading its saliva
faking sleep
so whiling away the time
memories aplenty inside
slipped off
without halting.
At one stage
the web tearing off
all too suddenly
As meaning
hidden deep down
writhed indistinguishable
many insects ensnared.
The Spider rising and swelling
With its eight-legged
conceited gait
caught hold of the meaning and
Munched it.
The mouth said:
‘Poetry’.
கவிதை
எஸ்.வைதீஸ்வரன்
கனவு வலை விரித்துக்
கவிதை பிடிக்கக் காத்திருக்கும்
கவியாய்
ஓட்டில் ஒரு சிலந்தி
எச்சிலை விரித்துப்
பொல்லாத பொய்த்துயிலில்
பொழுதோட்டிக் கிடக்கும் வேளை
மனதில் பல நினைவுகள்
நில்லாமல் நழுவிப் போச்சு.
ஒரு நிலையில் பட்டென்று வலையறுந்து
அடிமனப்பொருளென
தெளிவற்றுத் துடித்தன
சிக்கிய பல பூச்சிகள்
சிலந்தி எழுந்து விரிந்து
எட்டுக்கால் திமிர்நடையால்
பொருளைப் பிடித்து மென்றது.
வாய் ‘கவிதை’ என்றது.
