In the buzzing jam-packed highways

Flyovers are required.

The tall structures that were frightening me till that time

turning so tiny

come into view

as to a child lifted by the father in a festival

for showing the god.

As its lower portion

turns into the dining room of a house

for their sake

some Lion’s club water the place

and grow flowers.

At night the same change into an open theatre.

Just imagine, if this flyover is not here

How could we cross all these statues

this place without this flyover.

The fly over is

the green light forever glowing

in the middle of the road

Anytime you can climb up and alight

This is how it turns the entire stretch

of a road

into a park

And the city’s insane ones

safeguard all the bridges and flyovers

taking turns.

நெருக்கடி மிகுந்த பரபரப்பான சாலைகளில் மேம்பாலங்கள் தேவைப்படுகின்றன

அதுவரை எனை மிரட்டிய வானாளவிய கட்டிடங்கள் எவ்வளவு சிறிதாகி

ஒரு தகப்பன் திருவிழாவில் தலைமேலுயுர்த்தி சாமி காட்டியதைப் போலக் காணக்கிடைக்கிறது

அதன் கீழ்ப்பகுதி

ஒரு வீட்டின் சாப்பாட்டு அறையாக மாறிக் கொண்டதும்

அவர்களின் பொருட்டு

ஏதோவொரு

அரிமா சங்கம் நீர்பாய்ச்சி

பூ வளர்க்கிறது

இரவில் அதுவே ஒரு திறந்தவெளி திரையரங்கமாகிறது

இந்தப் பாலம் மட்டும் இல்லையெனில் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்

இத்தனை சிலைகளை நாம் எப்படி கடப்பது

பாலம்

எப்போதும் முச்சந்தியில் எரிந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் பச்சை விளக்கு

நீங்கள் எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் ஏறலாம் இறங்கலாம்

இப்படித்தான் ஒரு முழு நீளத்தெருவைத் தன் பங்கிற்கு

ஒரு பூங்காவாக்கி விடுகிறது

எல்லாப் பாலங்களையும் அந்த நகரத்தின் பைத்தியக்காரர்கள் சுழற்சி முறையில் பத்திரமாகப் பார்த்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
