AN APPEAL

In front of

the idol

that has a thin smile left on its lips

I sit

Have you seen the way

the sacredness of saffron cloth

being torn to shreds

in those plays staged

with you as the set-property?

Did you see it all….?

You are always submerged in

meditation

She waiting for thy return

has at last learnt to live for herself

You are an offering dedicated to the world

Just open your eyes a little

and see the atrocities around.

You would realize the pain and anguish of people….

See the world

that

using your sermons

playing havoc in preserving the Panchsheel.

Finally,

I appeal to thee

Turn into stone

those who stain your sermons

That alone

would bring

Freedom anew

to those who follow thee.

விண்ணப்பம்.

சிறு புன்னகை மட்டுமே

உதடுகளில் மீதமிருக்கும்

சிலை முன் அமர்கிறேன்.

உன் சிலைகளை வைத்து நடத்திய நாடகங்களில்

காவி உடையின் மகிமை கிழிந்ததை கண்டீரா..

எப்போதும் தியானத்தில் இருக்கிறாய்...

உன் வரவை எதிர்பார்த்திருந்தவள் தனக்காக வாழ பழகிக் கொண்டாள்...

நீ உலகத்துக்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டவன்...

கொஞ்சம் கண்களை திற...

கொஞ்சம் அதர்மங்களைப் பார்...

மக்களின் வேதனைகள் புரியும்.

உன் போதனைகளை வைத்து

பஞ்ச சீலங்களை கலக்கப்படுத்தும்

உலகினை பார்...

இறுதியாக விண்ணப்பம்...

உன் போதனைகளை களங்கப்படுத்தும்

அயோக்கியர்களை கல்லாய் சமைத்துவிடு...

அதுவே

உன்னை பின்பற்றும் மக்களுக்கு

புதிய விடுதலை தரும்...
